Use the Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX II only on the ACT Math section or another ACT context that explicitly allows calculators.
For Digital ACT, Desmos is built into the platform, but an approved handheld calculator may also be used during Math if it is not connected to the testing device.
Bring the standalone handheld calculator, not a phone, tablet, smartwatch, laptop, browser tool, screenshot, emulator, or downloaded calculator app.
Confirm the model name does not include CAS, and do not substitute a TI-Nspire CX CAS or TI-Nspire CX II CAS.
If a listing or school inventory says only TI-Nspire CX, ask for the full printed model because older CX, CX II, CAS, and non-CAS labels can be shortened in casual notes.
If test staff ask you to clear stored material, remove covers, inspect labels, turn off sound, or put away accessories, follow that local instruction.
Bring it charged or with reliable power, because a policy approval does not solve battery problems.
If borrowing from a classmate or school cart, photograph the front label, check the operating-system name, firmware version, and practice with the exact unit before test morning.
For planning, write down the exact model, color, serial-style label, borrowed owner, backup choice, charger, batteries, cover, and accessories before exam morning so no last-minute substitution changes the device being evaluated.
If you buy secondhand, avoid vague listings, regional editions, school bundles, modified firmware, missing labels, cracked screens, unreadable keys, or seller claims that cannot be matched to the authority's written policy.
